How to Locate Student Submissions
Need to find and review student work? This guide shows you exactly where to access student submissions after they've been turned in.
Two Ways to View Student Submissions
You can access student assignments through your grading system or by logging in as the student. Choose the method that works best for your needs.
Method 1: Through Your Grading System
This is the quickest way to view and grade all student submissions in one place.
Step 1: Open Your Course
Navigate to the homepage of the course where you want to view grades.
Step 2: Go to Scores
Click on the "Scores" tab in the left-hand toolbox.
Step 3: Find the Student'sAssignment
Locate the assignment for the student you wish to see in the grading grid.
Step 4: Check Submission Status
Look for these indicators in the assignment box:
Icon | Status |
Pencil icon | Assignment has a submission and needs grading |
Score | Assignment has already been graded |
Step5:View the Submission
Hover over the assignment box and click on the blue page icon that appears to open and view the assignment.
Quick Tip: The pencil icon indicates ungraded work, while a displayed score means the assignment has already been reviewed.
Method 2: Log In As The Student
This method lets you see exactly what the student sees, including their progress and all submissions.
You can log in as the student to view their individual progress and monitor what they've viewed and submitted.
When to use this method:
- Troubleshooting student access issues
- Viewing the student's complete course experience
- Checking what content they've accessed
- Reviewing their navigation history
