How to Locate Student Submissions

Need to find and review student work? This guide shows you exactly where to access student submissions after they've been turned in.

 

Two Ways to View Student Submissions

You can access student assignments through your grading system or by logging in as the student. Choose the method that works best for your needs.

 


 

Method 1: Through Your Grading System

This is the quickest way to view and grade all student submissions in one place.

 

Step 1: Open Your Course

Navigate to the homepage of the course where you want to view grades.

 

Step 2: Go to Scores

Click on the "Scores" tab in the left-hand toolbox.

Step 3: Find the Student'sAssignment

Locate the assignment for the student you wish to see in the grading grid.

Step 4: Check Submission Status

Look for these indicators in the assignment box: 

Icon Status
Pencil icon Assignment has a submission and needs grading
Score Assignment has already been graded

 

Step5:View the Submission

Hover over the assignment box and click on the blue page icon that appears to open and view the assignment.

Quick Tip: The pencil icon indicates ungraded work, while a displayed score means the assignment has already been reviewed.

 


 

Method 2: Log In As The Student

This method lets you see exactly what the student sees, including their progress and all submissions.

You can log in as the student to view their individual progress and monitor what they've viewed and submitted.

When to use this method:

  • Troubleshooting student access issues
  • Viewing the student's complete course experience
  • Checking what content they've accessed
  • Reviewing their navigation history
